As a child I was taught to shop for clothing by my mother. She showed me how to look at the garment’s construction and its finishing details and then at the price tag. It was how the garment was finished that determined if it was going to stand up to wear and tear and therefore be worthy of the price they were asking. When the price was lower than expected invariable you could see that lower price reflected in the quality of the fabric and finishings.
I hold my handmade, quality custom designs and their finishings to a standard set in a bye gone era which is now only seen in couture clothing. No time is spared in making sure that your garment is both durable and beautiful both inside and out. The seams and hems are either finished with a delicate rolled zig zag or the classic silk finish of a hand sewn rolled hem.
